About Us

Socalo is the new Santa Monica restaurant from James Beard and Julia Child Award-winning chef/owners Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken serving conscientiously-sourced, seasonal SoCal Mexican fare, alongside Mexican craft beers, wines and cocktails.

Named one of the “Best Mexican Restaurants in LA” by Time Out and one of “18 Superb Santa Monica Restaurants” by Eater LA,
Socalo provides quick counter service at brunch and lunch while the dinner menu shifts to full-service dining with an array of small plates, salads, taco selections and large plates.

Located within Santa Monica’s Gateway Hotel, Socalo welcomes guests with free validated parking, indoor and outdoor dining with a mix of long communal tables, cozy booths, and private dining spaces to accommodate groups both large and small, as well as off-site catering for office lunches, business meetings, and social gatherings.
