DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first in our series of policy luncheons with leaders in business\, government\, and academia. These luncheons are a chance for Chamber members to hear from leaders about the legislative and regulatory environments in their areas of expertise.\n\n\n\nJasson Crockett\, Public Policy Manager for Snap\, Inc.\, will delve into the regulatory challenges facing cutting-edge technology and media companies.\n\n\n\nJasson joined Snap Inc in 2021\, where he leads Public Policy and Government Relations for the Greater Los Angeles Area. Jasson's responsibilities include liaising with local elected leaders\, City and County agencies\, and community organizations\, to advance strategic partnerships and civic initiatives.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining Snap\, Jasson was Director of Community Business in the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. In this role\, Jasson led engagement with small businesses\, and oversaw policy and business development in the life science\, healthcare and tech sectors\, as well as sports\, and tax policy.\n\n\n\nJasson worked to connect companies of all sizes to resources within City Hall to enable their growth in the City of L.A.\, and develop a more connected ecosystem wherein companies can thrive.\n\n\n\nJasson also led the creation of several major initiatives\, including PledgeLA in\n\npartnership with the Annenberg Foundation\, and WiSTEM L.A.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining the Mayor's Office\, Jasson worked with Nonprofit Finance Fund\, a national consulting firm\, specializing in strategic financial management consulting for nonprofit organizations.\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, Jasson has experience as a teacher and case manager for a nonprofit organization located in South-Los Angeles\, and as an Associate with SEI Investments\, a mid-cap asset management and trust software company.\n\n\n\nHe currently serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps\, Coro Southern California\, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce\, and PledgeLA.\n\n\n\nJasson holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University where he majored in Finance and Management\, and earned his MBA at the University of California Los Angeles where he was awarded the John Wooden Fellowship.
