SUMMARY:Santa Monica’s Temporary Moratorium on Evictions and it’s Impact on Commercial Landlords and Tenants
DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic has created serious economic challenges for business owners\, landlords\, and tenants in the City of Santa Monica. Over the summer\, like many jurisdictions\, the City enacted a moratorium on residential and commercial evictions to protect the health and safety of its residents\, workers\, and visitors. \n\n \n\nThe moratorium order's protections are set to expire soon. Additionally\, parties may contact the Straus Institute for pro bono mediation services to resolve their disputes or consult with lawyers at Pettit Kohn.\n\n\nPrior to the meeting please respond to our two-question survey about your lease situation.\n\n\n\nBiographies:\n\n\n\nTristan A.
