Guided by Freya Bramble-Carter\, you'll delve into the intricacies of handling large amounts of clay\, mastering techniques such as spiral wedging\, centering\, throwing\, and assembling.\n\nFreya Bramble-Carter\, a renowned ceramics teacher and artist based in London\, creates work with a strong connection to nature\, capturing the flowing energy and fluidity in form. Growing up with clay at her fingertips\, she learned the craft under her father and master potter\, Chris Bramble's guidance. Freya has been featured in Vogue\, House and Garden\, Ceramic Review\, and more\, with international gallery representation and brand collaborations. Her newest venture\, Vessel Retreats\, combines clay\, yoga\, and mindfulness to build connection\, develop skill\, and unlock creativity.\n\nDay Workshop:\n\nStart the day with a brief introduction from Vessel Workshops and Freya Bramble-Carter\, followed by a centering meditation to connect with the material and get into the present moment. You'll learn the basics of kneading and spiral wedging before watching demonstrations by Freya.\n\nYou'll then start throwing on the wheel\, mastering the basics from centering to opening up the clay\, and moving on to cylinder forms with Freya's guidance. Depending on progress\, you may explore more dynamic forms such as bowls\, vases\, plates\, and bottles. Your creations will be available for you to return at a later time to add surface decoration or glaze.\n\nAs we finish the workshop\, you'll enjoy a soothing sound bath experience\, allowing you to relax\, reflect\, and restore balance. This meditative practice will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the present moment.
