A Salon at "Los Alisos"

Join us for a Salon at “Los Alisos” (The Sycamores), the former home of actor and local celebrity Leo Carrillo in Santa Monica Canyon. Situated on land purchased from a descendent of the Marquez family, the hacienda hugs a steep hillside.  The rambling house embodies all the romance of the Spanish Colonial Revival style with arcades and fireplaces of handcrafted bricks.

Enjoy a house tour, conversation with the owners, wine and elegant hors d’oeuvres.

Our hosts, Bill Borden and Melinda Gray AIA, have updated the home with great respect for its origins.  Gray is an architect best known for contemporary designs. Her studio will be open during the salon.
