Food and eating are vital to a healthy and happy life. However, sometimes we can turn to food or “emotional eating” in attempts to manage our feelings, especially when we feel overwhelmed.
Rachel Fintzy, a licensed psychotherapist, will offer an educational workshop with techniques to improve your relationship with food, your body, and difficult emotions, using creative exercises, practical information, and mindfulness techniques. No matter what life hands you, you have the ability to respond in ways that enhance your health and well-being.
Rachel is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialty in treating eating disorders and other compulsive behaviors. She has a private practice in Santa Monica a conducts research in addiction at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.
