Parent/Infant Group at the Early Childhood Parenting Center

Join ECPC for our parent/infant group for parents of 3-6month olds, startingTuesday October 8th for a "meet and greet." The group session will begin on Tuesday, October 15th. Parents all weclome to join this group throughout the fall. 

 Our parent-infant groups focus on the early adjustment to parenthood. The group is an excellent way to enhance the development of your new child in a warm and nurturing environment. Aside from receiving answers to all of their parenting questions, parents also join our infant group to meet other parents, and to provide opportunities for their baby to socialize with other infants. The infant groups are a combination of group-led and leader-led topics and information provided. Examples of topics we disucss are: recovery from pregnancy and birth, postpartum feelings, integrating the baby into your family, breast and bottle feeding, interpreting and understanding your child’s cues, establishing good sleep patterns, returning to work, finding good child care, transition to toddlerhood and your child’s motor, cognitive, and emotional development. We make sure that we address each parent’s personal questions and concerns every week.
