Route 66 Centennial Community Kickoff Party

Kick off a year-long celebration of Route 66 with a community event at the Santa Monica Ice Rink, marking 100 years of the historic roadway and its legacy at the end of the trail.

As part of The Drive Home VII, this Route 66 Centennial Kickoff will feature classic cars on display from 4:00 to 10:00 pm in the Community Corner. From 4:00 to 7:00 pm, attendees can connect with The Pier Corporation, Pacific Park, and Santa Monica Travel and Tourism, who will be on-site with giveaways and information highlighting Santa Monica’s attractions and experiences.

Route 66–themed mocktails will be available for purchase from Quickserve. No ticket or purchase is required to view the cars or participate in the event. Ice skating is optional, with tickets available separately at iceatsantamonica.com.

This event celebrates the history, culture, and economic impact of Route 66 while welcoming the community and visitors alike to Santa Monica.
