Candidate Forum on Early Childhood Education: AD-54 & LAUSD BD5

This year, UNITE-LA and the LA Partnership for Early Childhood Investment are excited to 
collaborate with Pathways LA to host a forum featuring candidates from two key races in L.A. 
County: Assembly District 54 and the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education Seat 5. 
These two governing bodies play a crucial role
in shaping policies and budgets that impact hundreds of thousands of families with young children.

Be a part of this important discussion as candidates from both races share their visions for 
supporting L.A. County’s most vulnerable children, from birth to age 5, and their families.

Since 2020, UNITE-LA has partnered with the LA Partnership for Early Childhood Investment on the 
“Choose Children Los Angeles” initiative. This effort aims to elevate awareness of early care and 
education issues, offering local and statewide candidates a platform to share their vision for 
California’s youngest residents.
As part of this initiative, we are proud to sponsor a non-partisan candidate forum where candidates 
can present their plans for supporting early childhood education.
